DeBoue Leads Lady Raiders to Victory

The women's basketball team defeated the Tompkins Cortland Panthers on Thursday night and improved to 5-1 on the season.

The Lady Raiders jumped out to a 17-13 first quarter lead.  In the second quarter, the Panthers tied the game at 18 with 7 minutes left in the quarter.  FM answered with a 7-0 run to regain the momentum.  Shelby Dopp closed out the half off an assist from Gabby Brown to lead 30-25.

In the third quarter, McKiea Weekes extended the lead 33-25.  The Panthers got hot from three point land and cut the deficit to 39-34 with 2 minutes remaining.  Niaimani Marshall closed out the half with a layup and the 45-41 lead.

DiAsia DeBoue took over in the 4th quarter for the Lady Raiders scoring 12 points in the quarter and playing tenacious defense.  FM was able to pull out the 62-55 victory. 

DeBoue led the Raiders with 20 points and 8 steals.  Niaimani Marshall finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds and McKiea Weekes tallied 11 points and 16 rebounds. 

The Lady Raiders will host the Broome Hornets on Monday, December 3rd at 5:00 p.m.
