The women's basketball team improved to 4-1 in Region 3 play with a 70-53 victory over Broome Community College. The Lady Raiders are currently second in the Region 3 standings.
FM used a big second quarter outscoring their opponent 29-18. Broome made a comeback late in the contest, but it wasn't enough.
DiAsia DeBoue led FM once again with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. She is averaging 16 points per game for the Raiders. McKiea Weekes finished with a double-double. She recorded 20 rebounds and 18 points. Niaimani Marshall recorded 14 points and Niasia Phillips finished with 11.
FM will travel to North Country on Wednesday for a crucial Region 3 matchup. Both teams have a 4-1 regional record heading into the contest. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
