The Lady Raiders hosted the #9 Nationally ranked Herkimer Generals on Monday night. Just five days earlier, the Raiders suffered an 88-53 loss to the Generals. This time around, FM stunned Herkimer with an 85-71 victory on their home court.
Kerri Hauser netted the score at 8 apiece with 5 minutes left in the first quarter. FM went on an 8-0 run hitting back to back threes to take a 20-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Raiders kept a balanced attack and Kendra Lavery ended the first half with a three, to go up 34-26.
Herkimer got off to a quick start in the second half and tied the game at 39-39. Jesse Van Nostrand had a big game for FM and scored 7 straight points to end the quarter leading 59-48.
In the final quarter, Niaimani Marshall and Hasijna Gaddy paced the Lady Raiders offense and led FM to their 10th win of the season.
Offensively, the Raiders had four players in double figures. Marshall and Lavery each collected a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds apiece. Jesse Van Nostrand had 14 points and Hasijna Gaddy had 11. Hauser had 9 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
FM will travel to North Country on Wednesday for a 5:00 p.m. contest.
