Lady Raiders Advance to Region III Quarterfinal

The women's basketball team defeated Cayuga Community College at home on Sunday afternoon, 77-51.  The victory advances the Lady Raiders to the Region 3 Quarterfinal Game against the Herkimer Generals on Tuesday, February 25th.   

Niaimani Marshall started off with the hot hand converting from beyond the arc, scoring 11 points and FMCC jumped out to a 15-0 start.  Jesse Van Nostrand scored six straight points to end the quarter with her team leading 21-8.

Destiny Prather had a strong presence in the paint in the 2nd quarter and scored the first 6 points.  FM headed into the half leading 40-25.

The Lady Raiders had a big 3rd quarter outscoring Cayuga 26-10 in route to the 77-51 victory.

Niaimani Marshall led with 21 points and 8 assists, Hasijna Gaddy had 15 points and 9 rebounds. Jesse Van Nostrand finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Destiny Prather with 11 points and 8 rebounds.

The Lady Raiders and Herkimer Generals split their regular season contests.  In their first meeting, FM lost on the road 88-53. On February 10th, the Lady Raiders defeated the Generals 85-71 at home.  Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Herkimer College on Tuesday.
