Lady Raiders Earn Back-To-Back Wins

The Women's Basketball team hit the road over the weekend to take on Tompkins Cortland and Finger Lakes Community College. The Lady Raiders opened their season with a loss to Genesee but bounced back to tally back-to-back victories.

FMCC defeated Tompkins Cortland, 63-45 on Saturday. Harmony Philo led with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Kiarra Kennedy recorded a double-double with 13 points and 19 rebounds. Djenaba Ndiaye rounded out the double figure scoring with 12 points and 4 assists.

On Sunday, FM used a balanced offensive attack to overpower the Lakers, 66-35. Philo once again led with 18 points and 6 assists. Kennedy added 16 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Caroline Iannotti tallied 12 points and 4 assists, while Shanna Bliss added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Katie LaGrange grabbed 10 rebounds for The Lady Raiders.

FMCC will next host their home opener on Tuesday, January 18th when they host Conference foe, Mohawk Valley Community College. The Raiders are set to tip off against the Hawks at 5:00 p.m.
