The Women's Basketball team hosted the Herkimer Generals on Wednesday evening. The Generals were ranked 2nd in the latest NJCAA Region 3 Coaches Poll.
Both teams came out flat and were unable to find the bottom of the net for the first three minutes of the contest. Herkimer took the 1st quarter lead, 13-8. In the 2nd quarter, The Lady Raiders defense led to easy offense. They hit the locker room trailing, 28-23.
In the second half, FMCC was outscored by the Generals. The FM squad had several chances to take the lead, but were unable to convert. Herkimer sealed the deal with a 71-58 win.
Harmony Philo continues to lead FM. She finished with 20 points, including 4-5 from beyond the arc. Kiarra Kennedy followed with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
FM will hit the road this weekend when they travel to Mohawk Valley on Saturday and to the Nationally ranked Onondaga Lazers on Sunday.
