The Women's Basketball team fell to Jefferson Community College on Tuesday night in the Region 3 Quarterfinals. The Lady Raiders got into foul trouble early and could not get the offense rolling in the 66-52 loss. They complete their 2022 season with an impressive 13-7 record after playing 20 games in just five weeks.
FM took an early lead, 14-9 in the 1st quarter. Harmony Philo sank a three pointer to extend the lead 17-13 in the 2nd quarter. Jefferson answered with a 14-2 run and took the lead 27-19. The Cannoneers closed out the half on a 7-0 run and led 36-24.
In the third quarter, FM closed the lead to within 9, 50-41. In the final quarter, Jenna Ndiaye got the Lady Raiders within 7, but Jefferson answered to secure the victory.
Kiarra Kennedy led with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Caroline Iannotti and Ndiaye each had 8 points.
