The Women's Basketball team finally got to begin their 2022 season on Tuesday night. The Lady Raiders traveled to Hudson Valley to take on the Vikings.

FM got off to a slow start as the Vikings opened with a 5-0 lead. The lead would not last long as Sarah Emanuel-Norwood converted on a lay-up and the Raiders would lead 12-11 with 2:25 remaining in the 1st quarter. The Raiders would not trail again for the remainder of the game and held the Vikings scoreless to close out the quarter leading 18-11.

Hudson Valley cut the score to 26-21 mid way through the 2nd quarter. Andie Gannon collected a steal and scored on a lay up to go up 32-24. Kendra Lavery ended the quarter on a make and the Lady Raiders extended the lead 39-31.

FMCC opened the 3rd quarter on a 10-0 run and proved to be too much for the Vikings to handle as they led 64-37. The Lady Raiders continued their balanced attack in the 4th quarter and secured an 87-65 win.

FMCC saw all five starters score in double figures and shot 50% from the field as a team.

Andie Gannon led the stat sheet with 29 points, 12 rebounds, 8 steals, 5 assists and 3 blocks. Kiya Marquez followed with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Kendra Lavery tallied 13 points and Abigail Lombardoni and Sarah Emanuel-Norwood followed with 11 apiece.
