Women's Basketball Routs North Country

The women's basketball team remained undefeated with a 76-54 win over North Country Community College on Wednesday night. They now improve to 13-0 on the season.

Abigail Lombardoni got things started for FM with five straight points and a 10-6 lead. At the end of the 1st quarter, Fm led 26-10. In the 2nd quarter, it was all Lady Raiders as they outscored the Saints 18-8 and led 44-18 at the half.

Andie Gannon and Makenzie Smith led with 10 points apiece in the first half.

In the second half, North Country used a 7-2 run to cut the FM lead to 19 points. Kiya Marquez led the offense to get back on track with six, third quarter points.

It was all Lady Raiders in the final quarter as they secured their 13th win of the season. Every starter scored in double-figures for FM. Marquez had 19 points and 7 rebounds. Gannon had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Sarah Emanuel-Norwood 14 points and 8 rebounds. Lombardoni finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Smith rounded out the starts with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Raiders will have a quick break in their schedule before they head to North Country on February 7th at 5:00 p.m.
