The women's basketball team is gearing up for the 23-24 season.  The Lady Raiders bring back some top returners and a new recruiting class that will make a big impact.  FMCC is coming off an incredible 22-23 season where they finished 22-2 and have high expectations for this season. The Lady Raiders were crowned Region 3 Champions and competed at the NJCAA DIII National Tournament for the first time since 2004.

FMCC returns two starters in Makenzie Smith and Andie Gannon. They each averaged 16 points per game last season and hope to make the same impact this season.

"We return two strong post kids from last year that will be big for us. We want to try and get a good balance of inside out this year like we had last season. We also have a big group of newcomers, and each will bring something different to the table to mesh in with sophomores. Slashers, shooters and defenders are a part of the group," said Head Coach Kevin Jones.

The Lady Raiders look to contend for a Conference and Region 3 Title when their season begins on Saturday, November 4th. They will host Jamestown Community College at home beginning at 1pm. FMCC will begin conference play on Tuesday, November 7th when they travel to take on Hudson Valley Community College.

"Chemistry is huge for us right now with so many new faces. We just need them to play for each other and understand what we are doing. We always hope to compete for conference and regional championships with hopes of making it to the national tournament," stated Jones.
