Lady Raiders Defeat SUNY Adirondack

The women's basketball team returned to the floor on Thursday night against SUNY Adirondack for the first time since the mid-semester break. The Lady Raiders dominated the contest and ran away with a 92-34 victory.

FMCC outscored The Timberwolves, 29-5 in the first quarter to lead to the victory. Five players scored in double figures with Andie Gannon leading the way with 23 points, 18 rebounds, 6 steals and 6 assists. Daniela Severino tallied 16 points and Abigail Lombardoni with 15 points. Makenzie Smith notched a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Sereena Palau rounded out double-figure scoring with 13.

"It was great to get back out and compete, we definitely needed to shake some rust off. We got a lot of great contributions from everyone, and we are looking forward to playing CCRI on Saturday," said Head Coach Kevin Jones.

The Lady Raiders return to action on Saturday, January 13th when they host the Community College of Rhode Island. The game is set to tip-off at 1 PM.
