The Women's Basketball team split their weekend pair of Region 3 games. On Saturday, The Lady Raiders traveled to take on The Jefferson Cannoneers and on Sunday they hosted the Tompkins Cortland Panthers.
FMCC suffered a tough loss to Jefferson, 63-60. They jumped out to a 21-10 first quarter lead. Jefferson would use a big third quarter to get back into the contest and secure the victory.
Andie Gannon led with 25 points, 15 rebounds and 6 steals. Abigail Lombardoni collected 17 points and Makenzie Smith with 14.
On Sunday, FM bounced back in a big win over Tompkins Cortland, 100-61. It was all Lady Raiders in the contest, as Andie Gannon erupted for 41 points, 15 rebounds and 6 steals. Lombardoni had an efficient game, shooting 6-10 from three and collecting 20 points. Smith had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Sereena Palau with 11 points and 7 assists.
The Lady Raiders are currently 10-4 overall and in 4th place in Region 3 standings. They will host North Country on Wednesday, January 31st at 5:00 p.m.
