JOHNSTOWN – The 2014 Lady Raiders volleyball team will hold tryouts and begin their preseason practice on Monday, August 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the Raiders Den (main gym). Their regular season will begin in early September.

The team had a strong season in 2013, finishing third among the seven teams in the Mountain Valley Conference (MVC) tournament. Head Coach Rachael Salvione anticipates the return of some talented players and looks forward to the addition of incoming freshmen and other new players.

The Lady Raiders' 2014 schedule includes matches with all MVC teams and with non-conference teams from the Upstate region. The schedule also includes four Saturday multi-team events ("POD matches") in which one college hosts three other colleges, with each team playing three other teams on that day.
