The Lady Raiders' terrific volleyball season came to an end on Sunday afternoon. The FM squad played hard on Saturday to qualify for the semifinals on Sunday. The semis had FM meeting Monroe CC and Genesee CC meeting Jamestown CC.

FM entered the Monroe match with a great attitude and nothing to lose to the #1 seed. FM had played Monroe in the semis last season and wanted to get the best of the Tribunes.  The Raiders played well, but Monroe was able to pull out the win. They defeated the Raiders in three straight sets, 25-14, 25-20, and 25-12.

Monroe then went on to defeat Genesee in the finals. The Lady Tribunes are the Region 3 champions and will go on to the national championship tournament.  

Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year Jenna Putnam and MVC 1st team player Carly Howe were named to the All Tournament team.  FM's season has come to an end, but their loss to Monroe must not overshadow the excellence of their season.

FM played a lot of great volleyball as they ended their season at 22-9 overall and 10-0 in Conference play. They scored a lot of points, played very good defense, and they passed the ball quite well.  Coach Rachael Salvione was named Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the year and led her team to win the Conference for the first time since 1997. 

The Lady Raider squad had a remarkable season – one to remember.
