Volleyball Goes Undefeated at Cayuga; Extends Win Streak to 11

The Lady Raiders once again proved why they are ranked #7 in the most recent NJCAA DIII Poll.  FM traveled to Cayuga CC and came out of the day undefeated.  FM played Cayuga, Onondaga and Jefferson.

In the first, match FM defeated Cayuga 25-22, 25-6, & 25-6.  Bri Eagan led the way with six kills and Gabrielle Smith had 14 assists.  Brittany Orminski had 11 digs.

In the second match, FM got the best of Onondaga 25-14, 25-19, & 25-21.  Miranda Nethaway rung up 16 kills in the match and Jenna Putnam had 15 digs.

The last match against Jefferson was the one the Lady Raiders have been waiting for.  Jefferson was the only team to defeat FM back in the first tournament of the season.  This time FM got the result they wanted as they went on to handle Jefferson with ease; 25-22, 25-13, & 25-17.

"The girls remained focused today and stayed mentally strong as they sought revenge against the only team that took a match against us during pre-season. It was a big win for us, said Coach Salvione. The girls played together and communicated, and it was amazing!"

FM will get the week off to rest and will be back in action Saturday, October 1st when they travel to Genesee CC to take on Monroe, Genesee & Finger Lakes.
