The 2016 All-Region teams were announced on Thursday. Jenna Putnam was named to the 1st team and Miranda Nethaway was named to the 2nd team all-region. Head Coach Rachael Salvione was named 2016 Region III Coach of the Year.
Jenna has been a huge reason why FM volleyball has been so successful the last two seasons. She is a leader on and off the court for the Lady Raiders, and has a high IQ for the game. Miranda Nethaway has had a big season as a first year player. She is known for her defense at the net and is 3rd in the region with 107 total blocks. Jenna and Miranda both look to lead the Raiders to a regional title.
This squad would not be where it is without their coach Rachael Salvione, who earned Coach of the Year. Salvione has her team playing their best and has led them to a 24-1 record. They are ranked #1 in the region and #6 in the nation and it wouldn't be possible without the countless hours and dedication from Salvione and her coaching staff. They aren't done yet, as they battle for a regional title this weekend.
