Volleyball Finishes Regular Season With 20-5 Record

The Lady Raiders Volleyball team finished regular season play on Saturday in Lake Placid at the North Country CC POD.  FM went 3-0 on the day defeating North Country, Adirondack and Hudson Valley.  FM finishes the regular season in 3rd place in Region III standings behind Jamestown and Onondaga.

FM defeated North Country 3-0; 25-15, 25-16, and 25-18.  Bri Eagan led with 12 kills and Gabrielle Smith finished with 36 assists.

FM matched up against Hudson Valley for the second time in three days and came out on top 3-2; 25-11, 23-25, 25-27, 25-11, and 16-14.  Megan Ryder and Eagan combined for 46 kills in the match.  Brianna Port led with 8 blocks and Aspen Darling finished with 7 kills and Julie Hampton had 13 digs.

The Lady Raiders took care of conference foe Adirondack in three sets; 25-21, 25-16, and 25-20.  Eagan led with 21 kills and Gabrielle Smith finished with 41 assists.  Raina Danylak tallied 3 kills in the contest.

The Lady Raiders end the regular season ranked 1st in the region with 978 total kills and 903 total assists.  Multiple Raiders end the regular season leading many statistical categories.  Bri Eagan is currently ranked 1st in the region and 2nd in the nation in kills per set with 4.58.  She is also 1st in the region and 2nd in the nation with 366 total kills.

Megan Ryder is 3rd in the region with 3.92 kills per set and 4th in the region with 314 total kills. 

Gabrielle Smith is 1st in the region and 3rd in the nation with 10.39 assists per set.  Brianna Port is ranked 4th in the region with 1.23 blocks per set.

FM will now wait for their Regional seeding and prepare for the Region 3 tournament in Jamestown on October 28th
