The Lady Raiders fell to the undefeated and #1 seeded Jamestown Jayhawks in the Region 3 semi-finals.  The match was best out of five and FM fell 3-0;  14-25, 14-25, and 20-25.

In the first set, FM cut the JCC lead to 7-9 on a Bri Egan kill.  Jamestown used their stellar defense to hold off a Raider come back and FM took a 14-25 loss.

In the second set, FM tied it 8-8, but Jamestown scores six straight points and the Raiders couldn't recover.  The Jayhawks won 25-14.

In the third set, FM would not go down easy.  Julie Hampton gave FM its biggest lead 12-8 on an ace.  Megan Ryder put FM ahead 18-17, but Jamestown was too much down the stretch for the Raiders and sealed the victory, 25-20.

"I am very proud of the success of this team.  Having just seven girls, one who never played before, and to be able to make it to the semi-finals of the Regional tournament is something to admire.  The heart of these girls is unspeakable and I feel very honored to have coached these girls," said Salvione.

FM finishes another stellar season, with a 21-8 record. The FM community, administrators, parents and fans are all so proud of the commitment and dedication of all of the players and coaches this season. Congratulations on an amazing season!
