Head Coach Tina Olyer and her volleyball squad have been preparing for the start of the 2018 season.  The Lady Raiders are coming off of a 21-8 record, including a Region 3 semi-final appearance in 2017.  This season, the Raiders look to build a new team after losing four key starters from last year's squad.

Coach Olyer returns sophomores Brianna Port and Raina Danylak who will both be looked at to be leaders on and off the court.  Newcomers; Ashlee Kelly, Tesa Brody, Karena West, Camryn Leggett and Abigail Pritchard will all play vital roles on the team.

The team has spent the last three weeks working on communication and improving as a team.   "We have been working on a lot of pre-season conditioning, drill work involving communication, building trust in each other, blocking & hitting coverage and minimizing our errors. We will be working on receiving serves and defense so that we can maximize being able to use all of our hitters to our advantage. The team has worked hard every day at practice and are eager to continue working hard and setting the bar high for themselves," said Olyer.

The Lady Raiders will begin their season on Saturday, September 1st when they travel to take part in the Jefferson CC invitational.  The Region 3 schedule will begin on Sunday, September 9th at the Herkimer College POD.

"Our strength this season will be having a well-balanced team that complement each other well. We will focus on keeping the momentum on our side of the court and letting go of mistakes. We will be looking at everyone on the court to step up both offensively and defensively. Our focus is always to win the conference and to set the bar high each year," said Olyer.
