Volleyball Tops Erie In POD Play

The Lady Raiders Volleyball team went 1-3 in weekend play.  FM traveled to Herkimer on Sunday to take part in POD play.  FM beat Erie 3-0, fell to Jamestown 0-3 and fell in their final match to Niagara 2-3. 

In the win against Erie, FM took all three sets 25-21, 27-25, and 25-23.  Camryn Leggett led with 9 kills, 9 digs and 3 blocks.  Ashlee Kelly finished with 26 assists.

Against Jamestown, FM fell 25-19, 25-19, and 25-17.  Leggettt and Brianna Port each had two kills.  Tesa Brody, Abigail Pritchard, and Karena West each finished with three digs.

FM went all five sets against Niagara, but came up short 2-3.  The Raiders won the first two sets; 25-11 and 25-18, but fell in the final three sets 23-25, 16-25 and 13-15.  Karena West led with seven kills and Port and Kelly finished with five apiece.  Leggett finished with 12 digs and Port and Pritchard followed with nine.  Raina Danylak led with six blocks. 

The Lady Raiders next match will be on September 12th, when they will travel to Adirondack CC to take on the Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m.
