Lady Raiders Bow to Herkimer

The women's volleyball team dropped a mountain valley conference match Wednesday evening.  The Lady Raiders traveled to Herkimer to take on the Generals and fell 3-0. 

In the first set, Herkimer jumped out to an 11-4 lead.  Brianna Port and Abigail Pritchard stopped the run to score back to back points and trail 12-7.  FM was able to cut the Herkimer lead 15-17, but it wasn't enough as the Generals went on to win 25-17.

In the second set, the Generals jumped out to a 17-6 lead.  Camryn Leggett was able to stop the run.  FM was able to claw back from an early deficit and set the score at 23-17. It wasn't enough as Herkimer finished the set 25-17.

In the final set, the Lady Raiders fell short as Herkimer jumped out to a 16-6 lead.  The Generals would go on to with the final set 25-13 and secure the match victory.

Tesa Brody led the Raiders with five kills and Brianna Port and Camryn Leggett followed with four kills each.  Abigail Pritchard finished with six assists.

The Lady Raiders will travel to Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday, September 29th for POD play.  FM will play Monroe, Genesee and Finger Lakes.
