FMCC Volleyball Sweeps Quad Play

The Women's Volleyball team took part in quad play against Adirondack, Paul Smith's and Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday at SUNY Adirondack.

The Lady Raiders would face their toughest competition of the season, yet dominate once again, by finishing the day 3-0 and not dropping a single set. FMCC now moves to 11-0 on the season and are ranked 5th in the NJCAA Division III Volleyball Poll.

FMCC vs. SUNY Adirondack, 3-0 Win; 25-17, 25-20, 25-12

Macey Salvione had 11 kills and 11 digs. Madelyn Avery finished with 10 kills and 11 digs, Hailee Thompson with 7 kills, Sadie Blowers with 6 kills Krystal McSpirit with 7 kills. Aireana Muhlberger had 35 assists.

FMCC vs. Paul Smith's College, 3-0 Win; 25-17, 25-22, 25-9

Salvione led with 10 kills and 15 digs and Avery finished with 8 kills and 7 digs. McSpirit had 3 blocks and Muhlberger with 32 assists.

FMCC vs. Finger Lakes, 3-0 Win; 25-15, 25-10, 25-22

The final match of the day proved to be an exciting one. The Lady Raiders took care of business in the first two sets, but the Lakers battled in the final set. Salvione and Blowers had 13 and 10 kills apiece. Hannah Hoffman played a crucial part on the defensive end with 12 digs.

The Lady Raiders will host Hudson Valley Community College at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12th. This will be their final home match of the season. Sophomores; Taylor Denmark, Katie LaGrange and Morgan Mraz will be honored.
