Volleyball Sweeps POD Play

The Women's Volleyball team hosted POD play in the Raiders Den on Saturday. The Lady Raiders competed against Jamestown, Niagara and Erie.

The Lady Raiders would protect the den and come out undefeated on the day beating each contestant, 3-0.

FMCC vs. Jamestown, 3-0 Win; 25-14, 25-18, 25-21

Alivia Wilson had 4 kills and 10 digs. Madelyn Avery finished with 7 kills and 13 digs, Deandra Myers with 6 kills, 10 digs and 3 aces. Sadie Blowers with 6 kills and 7 digs, Krystal McSpirit with 6 kills and 1 block. Aireana Muhlberger had 24 assists.

FMCC vs. Niagara, 3-0 Win; 25-6, 25-20, 25-11

Avery led with 8 kills and 11 digs and Wilson finished with 9 kills and 4 digs. Hailee Thompson had 2 blocks and Muhlberger with 29 assists.

FMCC vs. Erie, 3-0 Win; 25-23, 25-22, 25-23

The final match of the day proved to be an exciting one. The Lady Raiders took care of business but battled in each set to come out on top. Myers led with 11 kills, Avery and Wilson chipped in 9 digs and Hannah Hofmann with 2.

The Lady Raiders next match will be on September 14th.  They will travel to Adirondack Community College for a 7:00 p.m. Conference match-up.
