2024-25 Athletic Awards Banquet

After another successful 2024-25 athletic season, the FMCC student-athletes and coaches gathered on Tuesday, April 29th to celebrate the successful athletic and academic year.

This year featured another Volleyball Region 3 Title and another appearance in the National Tournament. All fall and winter teams competed in the Region 3 post-season tournament. Baseball returned to the field after a six-year hiatus. They are still in the mix for a post-season berth.

The female and male Academic Athletes of the year are Kamryn Walton (women's basketball) and Carlos Romero Astacio (Men's Soccer). Kamryn will be graduating in May with a General Studies Degree and currently has a 3.66 GPA. Carlos will graduate in May with a Business Administration degree and holds a 3.96 GPA.

The female Athlete of the Year award went to volleyball's Grace O'Brien. She was the Mountain Valley Conference Player of the year and first team award recipient and Region 3 First Team. O'Brien ended her career with 446 kills at 2.91 kills per set.

The male Athlete of the year award will be determined at the conclusion of the baseball season.

Tina Olyer was honored for earning Conference Coach of the Year.

Each coach had the opportunity to acknowledge their players for their many accomplishments on the playing field and in the classroom.
