The FMCC Men's Golf team will look to kick of their 2022 season this weekend. The Raiders will travel to take on Onondaga CC at Sunset Ridge Golf Club in Syracuse to open the season on April 9th.
The Golf Squad has been practicing at Fox Run Golf Club on the indoor simulators until the course opens. FM has four golfers on the squad in Liam Ackerbauer (Johnstown), Cole Hanson (Fonda-Fultonville), Kade Kirby (Queensbury) and Jacob Terwilliger (Broadalbin-Perth).
Head Coach Tom Rathbun is optimistic on the season and eager to get on the course. "Due to Covid, we haven't been able to compete the last two years, so I am really excited to get started. We have four experienced members on our team and I expect us to be competitive against some pretty established programs such as Oonondaga, Jamestown, Niagara and Adirondack. We will find out soon enough," stated Rathbun.
The Raiders will host their home match on Saturday, May 7th at Fox Run with a 9am tee time.
