The FM golf team got their season underway on Saturday when they traveled to OCC to compete in their first Conference Match.
Freshman, Jacob Terwilliger (Broadalbin-Perth) paced the Raiders with a fine score of 88, finishing 16th out of 41 golfers. Senior, Kade Kirby (Queensbury) finished with a 93, good for 23rd place. Freshman, Cole Hanson (FF) finished a little further back in the pack.
"All in all, I was pretty satisfied with today. The playing condition of the course was less than ideal due to all the rain lately but it was good experience for them and they admitted to having a few butterflies when the first started but they settled in after a few holes and did just fine," commented Coach Tom Rathbun.
The Raiders will now take a week off for the Easter weekend and return to action April 23rd when they travel to Hiland Park Golf Course for a Conference Match hosted by Adirondack CC.
