The 2016-2017 basketball regular season has come to a close, and the 2017 Region III tournament field has been set on both the men's and women's side. The FM Men's Basketball team has been seeded 6th as they finished the season with a 15-8 regional record. The Lady Raiders finished 15-5 in the region and 18-6 overall and were awarded the 5th seed in the regional tournament.
The men's team will travel to Utica to face the #3 seeded Mohawk Valley Hawks on Tuesday in the Regional Quarterfinal, with a time yet to be determined. The Raiders split with the Hawks in regular season play, most recently just four days ago in an 84-80 overtime victory. FM's women's team will travel to Corning to take on the 4th seeded Red Barons on Tuesday at 5:30 p,m. in the Regional Quarterfinal. Neither team played each other in the regular season, but the Lady Raiders are up for another hard fought battle.
