Coach Dave Hayward has been hired as the new Assistant Golf Coach at FMCC. Hayward has been the Assistant Coach/Director of Bowling Recruiting for Men's and Women's Bowling since the 2017-18 season. Coach Hayward and Head Coach Tom Rathbun have seen major success with the bowling program in their short time and look to do the same for the golf program.
"As many probably know Dave and I have worked together for the last four years with the bowling program. When I was hired to take over the golf program, one of my first priorities was to bring Dave on board. We work well together, I trust him, and our student athletes come to trust him and appreciate his insights. I know we wouldn't have won Conference Titles in Men's and Women's bowling this past season without Dave being involved with those teams. I'm glad we get to work together again," commented Coach Tom Rathbun.
"Dave will be a great asset to our program. He is a very knowledgeable golfer and we are looking forward to our golf program growing," said Athletic Director Kevin Jones.
