The FMCC Lady Raiders closed out their season in fine fashion, capturing second place at Regionals, held on Saturday at King Pin Lanes, in Rome.

Leading the way for FM was Gabriella Jenks and Joanna Whitman. Those two combined to finish second in doubles competition, and both made the All-Regional team. Joanna led the Raiders with a total of 1486, with high games of 238, 221, 215, and 189. Gabby wasn't far behind with a 1479 total, posting high scores of 222, 210, 190, 187, and 186.

Contributing to the team total was a solid outing by Crystal Coleman who rolled high games of 191, 176, 172, and 171. Kyleigh Lindsey had her high game of the year with a 205 and newcomer Marque Herr was in the 135 range most of the day.

"The ladies did a great job all day. They are so incredibly supportive of one another; it was truly a team effort. In the eight years I've been doing this, we have never come close to beating Erie and today we bested them by nearly 400 pins. We did lose to a stacked Herkimer team, but we never stopped trying.

We lose Gabby and Marque next year and both will be dearly missed. It's been a pleasure coaching all of them and I thank them for their effort and dedication," stated Coach Tom Rathbun.

On the Men's side, Steven Hulbert paced the Raiders with high games of 222, 214, 208, and 203 for an overall finish of 23rd out of 41 bowlers. Teammate, Hayden Auspelmyer posted high games of 205, 193, 181, and 180.

"Both men are moving on at the end of the season and I so appreciate the time and effort they invested in the team, best of luck to both of them," said Coach Rathbun.
