Noel Egelston has been selected as the new head coach for the Fulton Montgomery Community College women's softball program. Egelston takes over the reigns and will resume the softball program for the first time since the 2019 season. Competition will begin in the 2026 season.

"We are excited to have Coach Egelston take over our softball program. We are fortunate to have Noel and his local coaching staff come aboard to help us get the softball program back on track. I look forward to supporting him and his staff as they build our program back to a relevant contender in Region 3," said Athletic Director Kevin Jones.

Egelston is a native of Fultonville, NY and has been involved in coaching softball in the Mohawk Valley region for 16 years. Most recently, he has coached with the Turn 2 Gold Glovers organization for the past 10 years. He has worked to develop a winning culture and elite status among high level invitational tournaments across the east coast, with several of his players moving on to play at the collegiate level.

"I am looking forward to building a winning culture at FMCC. For our first steps, I have brought on Coach Brett Patrei, who I feel is the best pitching coach in the area. Coach Courtney Haff will also be joining us, who has played four years collegiately at Russell Sage and will be a huge asset in developing the girl's offense and defensive skills, and Coach William Oates, who has been part of my travel teams for four years and brings a wealth of softball knowledge. These tools will have an immediate impact on our success in the conference and region."

Coach Egelston and his staff will begin play in the 2026 season.
