The Female Raider of the Month for October is Madelyn Avery. Avery is a sophomore captain and outside hitter on the Women's Volleyball team.
Madelyn has had a strong influence on the overall success of the team both offensively and defensively. Madelyn is a leader on the court and is aggressive all-around player who demonstrates intensity, focus and a strong desire to win and pushes herself and her teammates to improve every day. Madelyn has incredible energy whenever she steps on the court and works hard to defend the back row. She is also a very strong offensive weapon. Madelyn has contributed 156 kills ranking her 4th in the region, 55 service aces ranking her 4th in the region, and 222 digs with 4.11 digs per set.
