The Female Co-Raider of the Year is Madelyn Avery. Avery was a sophomore captain and outside hitter on the Women's Volleyball team.

Madelyn led the 2022 volleyball squad to a prolific season. She joins 11 other athletes across the nation as a first team All-American recipient. The Lady Raiders finished 8th at the NJCAA Championship Tournament. For the first time in program history, the Lady Raiders won a Region 3 District A Title.

She ended the season with 238 kills, 58 assists, 86 service aces, 316 digs, and 16 blocks. On top of the first team All-American, Madelyn earned 2022 1st team Mountain Valley All-Conference, Conference Player of the year, Conference Tournament MVP, 1st team All-Region, Region 3 player of the year, and NJCAA Championship All-Tournament Team.

"She is a fierce competitor, a natural leader on the court and is an aggressive all-around player who demonstrates intensity, focus and a strong desire to win and pushes herself and her teammates to improve every day. Madelyn plays with an incredible amount of energy whenever she steps on the court and works hard in everything she does. We are extremely proud of Madelyn's accomplishments and accolades. We wish her continued success on the volleyball court and in the classroom," said Coach Olyer.
