The Female Co-Raider of the Year is Kiya Marquez. Marquez is a sophomore guard on the Women’s Basketball team.
Kiya was the driving force on the Women’s Basketball team and has led them to a 21-0 record and a Region 3 Title.
In the Region 3 Tournament, Kiya averaged 23 points per game. She had a huge Championship game against Onondaga where she scored 35 points, shooting 83% from the field. The Lady Raiders dominated the game with an 84-45 victory.
She joins four other athletes across the nation as a first team All-American recipient. The Lady Raiders finished 6th at the NJCAA Championship Tournament. The squad also finished the season as Mountain Valley Conference Champions, Region 3 Champions and an impressive 22-2 overall record.
Kiya finished the season with 18.8 points per game, 4.7 assists per game, and 8 rebounds per game. On top of the first team All-American, Kiya earned 2022 1st team Mountain Valley All-Conference, 1st team All-Region, and Region 3 Tournament MVP.
