Outfielder Zach Hughes is the Male Raider of the Month for April-May 2015. Hughes is a gifted and skilled ballplayer and is also a member of the prestigious Raiders’ 3.5 Club for student-athletes whose grade point average is 3.5 or higher.
Hughes patrols the outfield very well, and is very productive at the plate. His batting stats through the end of April included a batting average of .339, an on-base percentage of .427, and a slugging percentage of .484.
Hughes’ batting was even more torrid in May, when the Raiders played their final eight games of the season. His hitting in May included a home run and two doubles at Clinton CC and a home run and three doubles vs. SUNY Adirondack.
The 6’ 3” Hughes has the baseball tools and attitude that any coach would welcome.
