The men's soccer team picked up a split on their weekend road trip.  On Saturday, the Raiders beat Niagara 5-2 and on Sunday Cayuga topped FM, 4-1.  The Raiders move to 4-3-1 on the season and currently sit in 9th place in Region 3 standings, with five regular season matches remaining.

Against Niagara, FM took 15 shots, including six of those on goal.  FM scored five goals in the first half.  Kevin Maldonado, Patrick Palmer, Yasser Mourad, and Ahmed Mourad all found the back of the net.  Jefferson Jurado, Palmer and both Mourad's picked up assists as well.  Jonathan Mendoza and Lawrence Durudogan each had a save in goal.

On Sunday, FM got behind early against Cayuga.  The Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Ahmed Mourad scored off an assist from his brother Yasser to cut the deficit 2-1 heading into half time.  Cayuga was able to score twice in the second half for the 4-1 victory.

"We played well; we had to defend a lot.  We did our job, but the long weekend took its toll.  However, we split the week, so that is a positive," said Leggiero.

FM continues its long road play on Wednesday, when they travel to Tompkins Cortland for a 7:00 p.m. match.
