The men's soccer team completed the 2022 regular season on Wednesday night. The Raiders defeated Jefferson Community College, 3-1. FMCC finishes the season 10-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
Sophomores; Famourlaye Cisse, Moussa Sonaga, Zakaria Toure, Curtis Arnold, Denilson Solis-Munoz, Raul Garcia Sanchez, Leonardo Gualberto, Roberto Salinas, Jose Atilio de Oliveira, and Daryl Kabasele were honored for their commitment to the program over the past two years.
FM jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead when Kabasele crossed the ball to the foot of Marvin Koceku who scored in the box. Raul Garcia Sanchez was tripped just outside the penalty box and scored on the direct kick to go up 2-0.
Late in the second half, Curtis Arnold sent a corner kick to the head of Kabasele who put the contest out of reach, 3-1.
Jose Atilio de Oliveira was stellar in the net with 10 saves.
The Raiders will now look to prepare for the Region 3 Post-Season Championship Tournament.
