The men's soccer team came up just short against the #5 Nationally Ranked Mohawk Valley Hawks on Sunday in Utica, NY.
Both teams played a scoreless first half. In the second half, Gustavo Nunes scored for The Hawks to go up 1-0 in the 48th minute. Jackson McCandlish answered three minutes later off a Kyle Macfarlane assist and the game was tied.
In the 83rd minute MVCC scored again to seal the 2-1 victory.
FMCC now prepares for Broome Community College. They will travel on Wednesday, September 27th to take on the Hornets. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
