The men's soccer team tripped up the #7 nationally ranked Onondaga Lazers on Saturday afternoon. In what would be a rainy contest, Jackson McCandlish took just 10 seconds to score the first goal of the game and the Raiders led, 1-0.

The Lazers fired back and scored in the 16^th minute to tie the game. Jack Hopson from Onondaga converted on a penalty kick to take the lead at half-time.

In the 54^th minute, McCandlish scored his second goal from a Marvin Koceku pass and the game was notched at 2-2. Koceku scored the final goal of the game in the 68^th minute off an assist from Kyrise Frontin, which ultimately won the game.

The Raiders defense was stellar in the second half and held the Lazers scoreless. Joseph Gander tallied 3 saves in the win.

Jackson McCandlish leads the team with 10 goals (7^th in the region) this season and Koceku leads with 8 assists (9^th in the region).

The Raiders improve to 6-2 overall and are 5^th in the Region 3 standings. Their next game will be on Wednesday, October 11^th at North Country Community College.
