Pazos Leads Raiders To Victory

The men's soccer team got back to their winning ways on Sunday. The Raiders traveled to Troy, NY to take on the Hudson Valley Vikings in a Mountain Valley Conference match-up. After losing two previous road games, FMCC bounced back with a 3-1 victory.

The Vikings jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute scoring off a free kick.

In the 62nd minute, FMCC answered. A quick pass out of the net to Augusto Silva who found Carlos Pazos up the sideline. Pazos floated the ball over the goalie to tie the game at 1-1.

Fifteen seconds later, Bradley Warren found Pazos open again on the far sideline who shot it passed the keeper on the far-right goal post for his second score of the game. And in the 65th minute, Juri Barnstorf-Brand assisted to Bradley Warren who found the back of the net for a 3-1 lead and secured the victory.

The Raiders improve to 3-3 overall. They will next travel to Tompkins Cortland on Thursday, September 26th for a 5:00 p.m. match-up.
