The FMCC Men's Soccer team hosted the #8 Nationally Ranked Mohawk Valley Hawks on Saturday afternoon.
The Hawks scored first as they soared a corner kick into the box and was headed past Carlos Jose Romero Astacio in goal for the 1-0 lead. MVCC scored again before the end of the half with just 16 seconds remaining to go up 2-0.
In the second half, Bradley Warren served a free kick into the box and Luwani Alvarez headed it past the MVCC goalie to set the game at 2-1. A quick 30 seconds later and down a player due to a red card, Carlos Pazos carried the ball up the field to find Bradley Warren with a cross to net the game at 2-2.
The Raider defense held strong the rest of the game and ended with a 2-2 draw. FMCC is currently 5-5-1 in the Region 3 standings and sit in 9th place. They will host North Country Community College in their regular season finale on Wednesday, October 16th at 3pm.
