Lamine Samb has been selected as the new head coach for the men's soccer program. Samb held the position of assistant coach last season and was a member of the 2021 FMCC men's soccer team.
"We are excited to have Lamine take over our men's soccer program. He is a young energetic coach, with a great work ethic and he has hit the ground running with recruiting," said Athletic Director Kevin Jones.
Samb was raised in Dakar, Senegal and graduated from International High School at Union Square in 2019. He played soccer in Senegal for 12 years at the amateur level and played two years at International High School at Union Square.
During his time as a player at FM, Lamine stood out as a true leader. He made the transition to the sidelines in 2022 as the modified soccer coach at Johnstown High School and in 2023, he coached the JV team.
"I am really excited for this challenge it's a big step for me and my family and can't wait to see the team in action this coming season. I really want to work hard and achieve our goals as a team," said Samb.
