The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's soccer team saw its strong postseason run come to an end Tuesday afternoon, falling 2–1 to Genesee Community College in the Region 3 semifinals.
Genesee capitalized early to take a 1-0 lead. The Raiders responded in the first half when sophomore forward Rasheed Willis found the back of the net off a setup from Jona Gramer, tying the game at the half.
Genesee recorded the second goal of the game late in the second half off a rebound in the net. Despite controlling much of the second half and outshooting Genesee for the match, the Raiders could not find the equalizer.
Goalkeeper Mathis Briffaud recorded three saves in net for FMCC, while defenders Augusto Silva, Daunte Khiyaza, and Anthony Casa helped anchor a back line that allowed few opportunities after the early goals.
The Raiders wrap up their season after advancing to the regional semifinals. They close the 2025 season with a 8-3-1 record and continued momentum for the program moving forward.
