Lady Cannoneers Prevail at FM

JOHNSTOWN – The Lady Raiders played a very good first game against the visitors from Jefferson CC on Saturday. The Lady Cannoneers also played quite well and earned a 2-0 victory over the home team. The second game, however, was all Jefferson. The visitors lighted up the scoreboard with a 17-2 win.

Game One

The Lady Cannoneers scored two runs in the first inning. That was all they needed. Both teams played tight defense, and the game was scoreless the rest of the way.

FM's outfielders played their best game of the season so far, catching almost every ball that Jefferson hit beyond the infield.

The Lady Raiders had good scoring opportunities in four different innings but could not take advantage of those chances.

Shortstop Stephanie Rice and catcher Alix Leo both hit doubles for FM.
