WATERTOWN – The Lady Raiders traveled to Jefferson CC on Saturday. The host Lady Cannoneers won both games of the doubleheader.

FM moved out to a 5-3 lead in the fifth inning of the first game, but the Jefferson Nine came back with three runs in their half of the fifth. They added three more runs in the sixth and won the game 9-5.

Cori Manson hit a double and drove in two runs in the first game. Alyssa Palmateer and Abby Boyer also doubled. Rebekah Reichard hit an RBI single.

The second game belonged to Jefferson. The home team shut out the visitors 14-0 in a game shortened by the run rule. None of the Lady Raiders had extra-base hits.

FM's next outing will be on Tuesday, April 21, at Tompkins Cortland CC. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
