The women's basketball team is gearing up for the 19-20 season.  The Lady Raiders bring back some top returners and a new recruiting class that will make a big impact.  FMCC is coming off a 14-7 season last year and have high expectations for this season.

FM will look to returner Niaimani Marshall to have another standout season.  She averaged 19.3 points per game last season and was named to the first team all-conference and all-region teams.

The Lady Raiders also return 6'1" Destiny Prather who played in just four games last season due to a knee injury.  She is back healthy this season and will make a big impact in the paint for FM.

The Lady Raiders bring many new faces to the roster this season.  Local talents; Kendra Lavery and Kerri Hauser will see big minutes and play a major role.  Hasijna Gaddy, Djenaba Ndiaye, and Ariella Pena add depth to the strong class of freshmen.

Head Coach Kevin Jones has been preparing his team for the start of the season.  "Practices have been going well, the chemistry is getting better.  We have been a little dinged up, but should be healthy for the start of the season.  We have a good mix of post and guard play and I want to work real hard on the defensive end," said Jones.

The Lady Raiders look to contend for a conference and Region title when their season begins on Saturday, November 2nd when they host Ulster Community College at 1:00 p.m.
