FMCC Women's Basketball would like to announce the signing of Kiki Kennedy to the Division I, Maryland Eastern Shore program for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Kennedy signed her National Letter of Intent to compete for the Hawks next season. The Hawks compete in the NCAA Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

"The visit at Maryland Eastern Shore was amazing and my interaction with the team and coaches was very natural. I really felt like Coach Batchelor and Coach Raikes had my best interest at heart in both basketball and getting my degree. They made my commitment fairly easy with everything they showed and did with me on the visit, said Kennedy. If it wasn't for Coach Jones pushing me and furthering me to the next level, I wouldn't be where I am right now. I am so appreciative that he gave me the chance to join his team just weeks before we started playing."

The 5'11" forward from Bronx, NY competed at Middletown High School where she was the leading scorer. Kennedy was a standout for the Lady Raiders program and put together stellar numbers all season long. She also excels in the classroom, boasting a 3.48 GPA.

At Fulton Montgomery Community College, Kiki emerged as one of the top players in the Region. She made the 2nd team All-Region and finished the season ranked 4th in the Region scoring 19.8 points per game and 1st in the Region with 13.2 rebounds per game. Kennedy was also named to the 2nd team All-Conference.

"We are extremely excited for Kiki to have this opportunity to receive a Division I full scholarship at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore after one season with the Lady Raiders.  Even though she had eligibility to return we thought it was in her best interest to move to the scholarship level. Wishing her much success on the court and in the classroom next year," stated Coach Kevin Jones.
