The women's basketball team is gearing up for the 22-23 season.  The Lady Raiders bring back some top returners and a new recruiting class that will make a big impact.  FMCC is coming off a 13-7 season last year and have high expectations for this season.

FMCC returns Sarah Emanuel-Norwood and Kendra Lavery to the team and look to them for leadership on and off the floor.

The Lady Raiders have brought in a lot of local talent to this year's squad. They will look to Andie Gannon (Amsterdam), Abigail Lombardoni (Fonda-Fultonville) and Makenzie Smith (Broadalbin-Perth) to make an immediate impact.

FMCC also welcomes Kiya Marquez from Niagara Community College. She averaged 12.8 points for the Thunderwolves and looks to be a big addition to the Raiders.

Head Coach Kevin Jones has been preparing his team for the start of the season. "Practices have been going well, we are getting in shape and finding some chemistry. We are working on getting everyone understanding what we do and how we are going to do it.  I think the versatility of all our kids gives us a lot of different ways to play. We have a great mix of shooters and kids that can get to the basket. Also, some good inside kids," said Jones.

The Lady Raiders look to contend for a conference and Region title when their season begins on Tuesday, November 8th when they travel to Hudson Valley to take on the Vikings. FMCC will open up at home on Sunday, November 13th against Villa Maria College.
