Women's Basketball Falls at Onondaga

The women's basketball team suffered a road loss to Onondaga Community College on Saturday. The #6 Nationally Ranked Lazers defeated the Lady Raiders, 84-54.

The Lady Raiders trailed 15-16 after the 1st quarter. The Lazers used a big 2nd quarter to lead 47-23.

Andie Gannon had another standout performance leading all scorers with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Abigail Lombardoni tallied 11 points, 4 assists and 4 steals for FMCC.

Gannon has been at the forefront to the team's first half success. She leads all of Region 3 with 22.4 points per game and a 51.9 field goal percentage. She is second in the region with 15.7 rebounds per game. Abigail Lombardoni finishes the first half of the season averaging 18 points per game and Makenzie Smith with 12.6 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game. Newcomer, Daniela Severino is averaging 10.2 points per game. 

The Lady Raiders finish the first half of their season with a 4-3 record and now head into the mid-semester break. They will begin play again on Thursday, January 11th at home against SUNY Adirondack.
