The women's basketball team hosted the #7 nationally ranked Knights from The Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Raiders used a strong defense to route the Knights, 88-61.
FMCC held CCRI to just 14 first half points alongside the Raiders' 38. In the second half the CCRI offense would come alive to score 47 second half points, but it was not enough as the Raiders had put the game out of reach.
Andie Gannon led the way with 27 points on 8-13 from the field, 16 rebounds and 9 assists. Abigail Lombardoni followed with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Makenzie Smith emerged for a solid game including 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks.
The Lady Raiders will next host Herkimer on Wednesday, January 17th at 5:00 p.m.
