Women's Basketball Defeats Hudson Valley, Improve to 14-4

The women's basketball team continues to roll as they extended their winning streak to 5 games on Monday night. The Lady Raiders picked up an 89-68 victory over Hudson Valley. They improve to 14-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play.

Andie Gannon scored 12 first quarter points to put FM ahead 27-6 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, it was all Hudson Valley as they cut the deficit, 41-30.

The Vikings went on a 7-0 run mid-way through the 3rd quarter, but Makenzie Smith and Gannon made back-to-back baskets to close out the quarter leading, 67-49.

In the 4th quarter, FM outscored Hudson Valley, 22-19 to secure the victory.

Andie Gannon scored 40 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and collected 7 steals. Gannon is currently averaging 26.9 points per game and is leading all Division III scorers in the NJCAA.

Abigail Lombardoni followed with 21 points and Makenzie Smith with 15 points, 7 blocks and 7 rebounds.

The Lady Raiders are back in action on Saturday, February 17th at 1:00 p.m. They will host Cayuga Community College.
